Wine restaurant with charme and flair, but cosy and original Frankfurtern, wooden tables and benches let you feel like in grandma's times. Kitchen is modern, light but delicious. Beautiful garden restaurant, calm but popular, good service. Inside old frame-work and cosy corners. Dishes are freshly homemade and huge. Prices between 15 and 40 DM for a main dish.

Germania
The Germania is indeed very local and old fashioned. If it's this German atmosphere you are going for, this is the place to be. The food is very very local and unexpensive. THE drink is the sweet-sour applewine.

Lorsbacher Tal
Most popular and traditional restaurant in the Sachsenhausen quarter. Open Tue - Sat till midnight, Sun til 11pm, kitchen closes at 10.30pm. Main dishes such as "Rumpsteak" or "Schnitzel" cost between 13 and 25 DM, various soups are worth trying. Home made "Ebbelwoi".
