Schwaben Tor
One of the two surviving towers of the medieval fortifications.

Munsterplatz
Some old buildings remain on Munsterplatz and around the town hall. Here one of the most diverting markets is hold on a daily basis.

Kaufhaus
This blood-red building from the 16th century dominates the south side of the square and served once as a merchants’ hall.

University
The city’s university dates from the 17th century and there are more than 20 000 students in town.

Munster
For a fantastic view climb the tall spire of the Munster tower right in the center of town.

Cathedral
Beautiful Gothic cathedral with pretty stained-glass windows inside.
