Schloss On the place of a medieval castle dating back to the 11-th century, now stand the Renaissance Schloss Hohentubingen. It contains a museum (Schausammlung der Universitat) you can visit for 4 DM and there are guided tours.
Burgsteige The Burgsteige is a small street leading from the Markt to the Schloss Hohentubingen. Very handsome, with many nice renaissance houses and mansions.
Markt The Markt is the old heart of Tubingen. The houses around it are excellent. The fountain of Neptune in the middle is the centre around which markets are held on mondays, wednesdays and fridays.
Holderlinturm Holdelrin was probably the most romatic of all German poest. He lived here for the last 36 years of his life, when he was somewhat crazy, but still managed to write great poems. Entrance costst 3 DM. Address: Bursagasse (on the Neckarbanks).
St. Georg The Gothic Church of St. Georg is located on the Holzamrkt ans has a very beatiful interioir. The chancel has stunning stained-glass windows. You can climb the tower with the 2 DM ticket.
