The disco Linientreu in Budapester Straße has been a prime dance spot for years. For a long time it was the venue for dark wave and gothic fans; now it play's '80s sounds and techno. There are lovely cinema's in this area, like Delphi next to the theatre des Westens in Kantstaße or Filmpalast on Ku'damm. Towards the western end of Ku'damm is the disco Far Out where people over 30 gather on Wednesdays and younger ones join them at the weekend to dance the night away to mixed music. Big Eden on Ku'damm is particularly well known and not especially exciting - it's simply a normal disco for dancing and flirting for the latest hit music. Loretta in Lietzenburger Straße combines just about everything. The big garden is like a fairground with various grills and beer stands. Under the same roof, in Pupasch, the catchword is "gastronomic experience", with motto parties and colorful nights. If that's not your scene, you can escape to the Hard Rock Cafe in Meinekestraße: pure American way of life with guitars on the walls, record release parties and gigantic burgers. In the same street at the corner of Ku'damm is Soup Kultur with delicious creations - from exotic or hearty to refreshingly light. Sup your fill! Dalo's in Nürenberger Straße will tempt you with its Irish and Swedish sandwiches. If you want to try out a Berlin currywurst sausage with its spicy sauce, go to Witty's on Wittenbergplatz - you can eat the organic meat and excellent chips without getting a bad conscience.
