Whether this bar has really got its name from Cigar king Davidoff, will always be a secret. One thing everybody knows is that it's the very place to go. Therefore you need a club card - to get hold of the masses of youngsters. Happy are those who've got the card! The "Zino" is especially popular with the "Thirty-Somethings". Roman columns, a lot of marble and a well-wipes bar seem rather cool at first, but the atmosphere is certainly different at party time every night. People go on celebrating all night. Ferrys Victor´s
Here new regulations have been tried: When the place was opened the guests received valet parking and club cards and there were doormen at the entrance. But there was no success. Meanwhile Ferry Foulandian, a character of Hannover's bar scene has seen to it and changed the Victor's into a restaurant with french cuisine and a bar. Candle light creates a warm atmosphere and Ferry cares for even small details like ash trays and candle holders. The guest is the "king" and service is everthing. Very convenient: when you feel like dacing after the meal you can do it here. There is a small adjacent club with music for dancing: a little funk and soul, someting from the charts and from time to time even a popular German tune.

Lunablu
The Lunablu has not only got a melodious name but also a terrace for lovely summer nights. Although this part of the town is not really one of the first addresses - the "Nordstadt" with the notorious Sprengel grounds and memories of "chaos days" - the Lunablu is something special. There are delicious snacks and international dishes on the menu, which taste even better when eaten outside on the terrace. But it's also rather nice inside. Especially when you have managed to to find a place on the cosy velvet sofa. The modest interior with bistro tables and a home made bar is enriched by flowers and candles on the tables. Mecki´s
The name of the bar is the owner's name. Mecki, plainly and simply Mecki. And Mecki has been in charge of his "cave" for fifteen years by now and he takes care that no modern stuff like techno finds its way to Mecki's. His guests appreciate that - they want it all to stay the same: the patina on the walls, the dark corners, sparsely lit with candles and of course Agathe the display dummy, haging from the ceiling.

Mecki likes jazz. And live jazz is best. So it's not surprising that there are more or less well known jazz musicians at Mecki's every night, on the stage or just as guests. The opening hours care for the night owls. From 9 o'clock at night well into the hours of the early morning you can enjoy yourself here with a well-draught beer or a cocktail from the large selection of drinks. Osho
Nothing much is heard from the Bhagwan fans nowadays, but everybody knows the "Baggy". The large glass rotunda behind the central station still belongs to Germany's Bhagwan discos and has become the meeting point for teenagers in Hannover. But of course there is still the Wednesday. That's when the ex-guest come along to celebrate the "Forever-Young-Party" . They dance to the hits of the old days from the Grease-classics to synthie-pop of the eighties. Nobody will bother about wrinkels in the faces in the bright disco lights. The division of the interior is cleverly made. From the dancing area in the middle you go down a few steps to the full-circled bar and there you can watch what's happening. The Palo has long since achieved a position in Hannover's club scene. There is a wide variety of music styles which delight a large number of fans. Acanto
Even competitors must admit - the "Acanto" is the nicest bar in town. This noble bar is situated in the vaults of a former riding-stable. The interior is in Spanish style: lavish curtains, mirrors, chandeliers, fruit-decorations, flowers and candles everywhere. Everything matches the style, even the rest room. And the guests match the noble atmosphere, too. Elegant outfit is compulsory, nobody would wear trainers! It's a different world! The times when this place was a cinema are past and gone. From the very first minute this location was accepted by Hannover's dancing crowd. Café Caldo
The name of this bar may give you a hint about the guests: they are mainly gay. This does not exclude heterosexuals who are always welcome. Together they occasionally celebrate exessive parties. Those who have once submerged in the cosy cafe bar while drinking liters of champaign with ice cream appreciate the atmosphere and the drinks. The motto parties at Cafe Caldo are legend. Casablanca
This small bar has been the meeting point of the "usual suspects" for twenty years by now. Three generations of the in-people of the city celebrate themselves in the smallest disco in Germany. On 65 square metres they meet in different parts. In the front part together with Bodo, the patron, you find the well-off fifty-year olds, at the bar the thirties and on the dance floor the twenty-year-olds dancing to the charts and black music. Twenty years of business has left traces, though nothing much has changed.
Once a year the walls are being repainted, the mirrors wiped and new pictures put on the walls. The accessories are Bodo's job. He decorates his bar with a lot of loving care, especially for the motto parties like the building site party or at Christmas. By the way: Most renowned are the afternoon parties on Christmas Eve on the pavement in front of the bar where everybody meets to drink to each other to celebrate Christmas. Central Park
A small but noble bar on Marienstraße with a decoration of a lot of timber and glass. Here you will mainly meet regular costumers, who enjoy themselves with black music and prefer to stay to themselves. But new guests are always welcome. When you arrive, the bar keeper will be in charge for you and get you a cocktail or a draught beer. The best time to arrive here ist "Happy Hour" between 5 and 8 o'clock in the evening. Then you can stay all night. The Central Park has no neighbour, so the evening can go on and on... If you are lucky we have a "special event" like the Gourmet Dinner every three months.

Chimu
Everybody in Hannover agrees: Jaime was there first. He was a pioneer in cocktail matters and he offered Caipirinhas in his South American Bar at a time when nobody in this town had a clue what that was. The high quality of his drinks has not changed during the last ten years, though the number of guests in his bar has increased. After dinner in the restaurant part of the Chimu you can go to the bar to conclude the evening. Or if you arrive later you can head for the cocktails straightaway. The interior of the bar is appropriate to the style: dark earthy colours, wood, terracotta tiles and Aztec masks take you away into another world. The favorite drink of the house can be obtained in liters: Pisco Sour, with lots of vitamins in the fresh lemon juice and high-proof.

The name does not necessarily decribe the condition of the guest. But it can happen, especially when the nights are long. It was not intended though when this "trendy" bar was opened as a starting point for Hannover's night owls. Well, you have to look for this small bar, whose owners believe in openness and communication -it's tucked away among the offices of a Hannovrian bank. This is the place where Hannover's journalists meet, which is not surprising, when you consider the name. Also business people from the nearby offices pay a visit. This modern bar is situated in the middle of Hannover banking quarter. It is the meeting place of a lot different people. In the well-styled long and narrow premises you will not only find banking people but also lovers of new grooves and beats. Grüner Pelikan
With a lot of skill and knowledge the former factory hall of the stationary company Pelikan has been transformed into a very trendy meeting place of the in-people. The typical atmosphere of the factory has been preserved - steel beams, bare walls und a high ceiling. This may look impressive but it does not really improve the acoustics. The interior consists of cleverly combined timber elements, flexible parts can create intimate corne, r for privacy.

Grüner Pelikan is the place where Hannover's VIPs meet for small talk and a glass of champaign. Especially at the weekends, but also on "Happy Monday" the place is rather busy. Those who have fought their way to the bar, treat themselves to one of the 200 different cocktails or finds a refreshment in a well-draught Herforder Pils.

Falkners
A well-tended bar not only for those who live in Hanover-List. They must be able to sleep long in the morning because even on weekdays the bar is busy until two o'clock in the morning. The "Falken" prefer a straight design: bright parquet floors, blue lamps, columns and red brick walls. The black leather seats are very comfortable and invite you to sit down for a snack. They are very good: tomato soup and chilli con carne are favorites of the guests. The partron prefers spare ribs and invites to a spare rib session regularly. The best digestive for a bistro snack is a cocktail - Falkners is a classic bar. Falcons are individuals, but at Falkners they are never lonesome.

If you are looking for the American way of life in Northern Germany - this is the place for you! The Henry J. Beans is as American as can be, from the interior to the menu, even the staff speaks English! At the back of the bar you can relax and enjoy yourself at tables with red checkered tablecloths while eating burgers and spare ribs. Even copying a style can be an art - no other bar owner in Hannover has managed so far to copy the atmophere of Pepe's Mexican Bar. Small, but beautiful - in an ordinary residential building in the Friesenstraße you find a highlight of Hannover's bar scene. The owner used to work as an interior designer - you got it? He really had his fling here. With a lot of care for details and decoration - it's just unbeatable. A bar? A cafe? Or a cocktailbar? What is it then? The answer is: a little bit of everything. "Sempre" means "always". The name stands for the idea of the Sempre. Any time of day the guest can expect culinaric delicacies, taken by the word well late into the night. The interior was designed by Italian designer Duccio Ducci: He played with colours, shapes and materials in a very unconventional way. But he was not allowed to alter the facade, because the building is a historic monument. The guest love the Italian cuisine, but also cocktails are "sempre" popular. In Sempre one believes in variations, so the list of beverages, especially cocktails is altered frequently, so the guest will sempre find something new.

As the name tells you: The Spaghett Palast's attraction is the large variety of pasta (and pizza). But not only the friend of Italian cuisine like it in Spaghett Palast. A fixed point in the famous and notorious Bermuda triangle is the "Tex". Be it as the starting point for expeditions through the nearby clubs or for the "last for the road" - nobody can avoid the "Tex". Whether this bar has really got its name from Cigar king Davidoff, will always be a secret. One thing everybody knows is that it's the very place to go. Roman columns, a lot of marble and a well-wipes bar seem rather cool at first, but the atmosphere is certainly different at party time every night. People go on celebrating all night. Ferrys Victor´s
Here new regulations have been tried: When the place was opened the guests received valet parking and club cards and there were doormen at the entrance. But there was no success. Meanwhile Ferry Foulandian, a character of Hannover's bar scene has seen to it and changed the Victor's into a restaurant with french cuisine and a bar. Candle light creates a warm atmosphere and Ferry cares for even small details like ash trays and candle holders. The guest is the "king" and service is everthing. Very convenient: when you feel like dacing after the meal you can do it here. There is a small adjacent club with music for dancing: a little funk and soul, someting from the charts and from time to time even a popular German tune.

Lunablu
The Lunablu has not only got a melodious name but also a terrace for lovely summer nights. Although this part of the town is not really one of the first addresses - the "Nordstadt" with the notorious Sprengel grounds and memories of "chaos days" - the Lunablu is something special. The name of the bar is the owner's name. Mecki, plainly and simply Mecki. And Mecki has been in charge of his "cave" for fifteen years by now and he takes care that no modern stuff like techno finds its way to Mecki's. His guests appreciate that - they want it all to stay the same: the patina on the walls, the dark corners, sparsely lit with candles and of course Agathe the display dummy, haging from the ceiling.

Mecki likes jazz. And live jazz is best. So it's not surprising that there are more or less well known jazz musicians at Mecki's every night, on the stage or just as guests. The opening hours care for the night owls. Nothing much is heard from the Bhagwan fans nowadays, but everybody knows the "Baggy". The large glass rotunda behind the central station still belongs to Germany's Bhagwan discos and has become the meeting point for teenagers in Hannover. But of course there is still the Wednesday. Even competitors must admit - the "Acanto" is the nicest bar in town. This noble bar is situated in the vaults of a former riding-stable. It's a different world! The times when this place was a cinema are past and gone. From the very first minute this location was accepted by Hannover's dancing crowd. Café Caldo
The name of this bar may give you a hint about the guests: they are mainly gay. This does not exclude heterosexuals who are always welcome. Together they occasionally celebrate exessive parties. Casablanca
This small bar has been the meeting point of the "usual suspects" for twenty years by now. Three generations of the in-people of the city celebrate themselves in the smallest disco in Germany. On 65 square metres they meet in different parts. In the front part together with Bodo, the patron, you find the well-off fifty-year olds, at the bar the thirties and on the dance floor the twenty-year-olds dancing to the charts and black music. Twenty years of business has left traces, though nothing much has changed.
Once a year the walls are being repainted, the mirrors wiped and new pictures put on the walls. The accessories are Bodo's job. He decorates his bar with a lot of loving care, especially for the motto parties like the building site party or at Christmas. By the way: Most renowned are the afternoon parties on Christmas Eve on the pavement in front of the bar where everybody meets to drink to each other to celebrate Christmas. Central Park
A small but noble bar on Marienstraße with a decoration of a lot of timber and glass. Here you will mainly meet regular costumers, who enjoy themselves with black music and prefer to stay to themselves. But new guests are always welcome. When you arrive, the bar keeper will be in charge for you and get you a cocktail or a draught beer. The best time to arrive here ist "Happy Hour" between 5 and 8 o'clock in the evening. Then you can stay all night. The Central Park has no neighbour, so the evening can go on and on... If you are lucky we have a "special event" like the Gourmet Dinner every three months.

Everybody in Hannover agrees: Jaime was there first. He was a pioneer in cocktail matters and he offered Caipirinhas in his South American Bar at a time when nobody in this town had a clue what that was. The high quality of his drinks has not changed during the last ten years, though the number of guests in his bar has increased. After dinner in the restaurant part of the Chimu you can go to the bar to conclude the evening. Or if you arrive later you can head for the cocktails straightaway. The interior of the bar is appropriate to the style: dark earthy colours, wood, terracotta tiles and Aztec masks take you away into another world. The favorite drink of the house can be obtained in liters: Pisco Sour, with lots of vitamins in the fresh lemon juice and high-proof.

This modern bar is situated in the middle of Hannover banking quarter. It is the meeting place of a lot different people. Grüner Pelikan
With a lot of skill and knowledge the former factory hall of the stationary company Pelikan has been transformed into a very trendy meeting place of the in-people. The typical atmosphere of the factory has been preserved - steel beams, bare walls und a high ceiling. This may look impressive but it does not really improve the acoustics. The interior consists of cleverly combined timber elements, flexible parts can create intimate corne, r for privacy.

Grüner Pelikan is the place where Hannover's VIPs meet for small talk and a glass of champaign. Especially at the weekends, but also on "Happy Monday" the place is rather busy. Those who have fought their way to the bar, treat themselves to one of the 200 different cocktails or finds a refreshment in a well-draught Herforder Pils.

Falkners
A well-tended bar not only for those who live in Hanover-List. They must be able to sleep long in the morning because even on weekdays the bar is busy until two o'clock in the morning. The "Falken" prefer a straight design: bright parquet floors, blue lamps, columns and red brick walls. The black leather seats are very comfortable and invite you to sit down for a snack. They are very good: tomato soup and chilli con carne are favorites of the guests. The partron prefers spare ribs and invites to a spare rib session regularly. The best digestive for a bistro snack is a cocktail - Falkners is a classic bar. Falcons are individuals, but at Falkners they are never lonesome.

If you are looking for the American way of life in Northern Germany - this is the place for you! The Henry J. Beans is as American as can be, from the interior to the menu, even the staff speaks English! Pepe´s Mexican Bar
Even copying a style can be an art - no other bar owner in Hannover has managed so far to copy the atmophere of Pepe's Mexican Bar. Small, but beautiful - in an ordinary residential building in the Friesenstraße you find a highlight of Hannover's bar scene. The owner used to work as an interior designer - you got it? Sempre
A bar? A cafe? Or a cocktailbar? What is it then? The answer is: a little bit of everything. "Sempre" means "always". The name stands for the idea of the Sempre. Any time of day the guest can expect culinaric delicacies, taken by the word well late into the night. The interior was designed by Italian designer Duccio Ducci: He played with colours, shapes and materials in a very unconventional way. But he was not allowed to alter the facade, because the building is a historic monument. The guest love the Italian cuisine, but also cocktails are "sempre" popular. Spaghetti-Palast
As the name tells you: The Spaghett Palast's attraction is the large variety of pasta (and pizza). But not only the friend of Italian cuisine like it in Spaghett Palast. At an American bar on the ground floor in its classical style you can meet your friend for a nice drink. Texcoco
A fixed point in the famous and notorious Bermuda triangle is the "Tex". Be it as the starting point for expeditions through the nearby clubs or for the "last for the road" - nobody can avoid the "Tex".
